Lecturer – Performing Arts (Part‑time, Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lecturer in Performing Arts on a 9‑month fixed‑term maternity cover (0.5 FTE) starting August 2026. The role involves teaching acting and directing across Levels 1 to 3, developing curriculum, and supporting student progression.

Key responsibilities

• Develop module study guides and schemes of work for Levels 1‑3.
• Deliver teaching sessions and supervise assessment processes.
• Carry out internal verification and liaise with external verifiers/moderators.
• Provide pastoral support to students as required.

Required profile

• Teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one) and recognised teaching ability.
• Degree or higher (or relevant professional qualifications) in a related subject.
• Strong acting and directing experience with industry knowledge.
• Experience with SEND learners is beneficial but not essential.
• Commitment to evidence‑based teaching, equality, diversity, safeguarding and personalised learning.
