Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Health Workforce (Teaching & Research)

About the role
The Behavioural Science for International Health Workforce Group in the Division of Medical Education is looking for a motivated academic to lead research and teaching on health workforce issues. You will join a collaborative team, develop an independent research programme and contribute to undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD teaching.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead a research programme in health workforce, aligned with division and faculty priorities.
- Secure external funding and disseminate high‑quality research outputs.
- Design and deliver teaching materials for undergraduate to specialised postgraduate courses.
- Supervise and assess students across MBChB, PGT and CPD programmes.
- Take on support and leadership duties appropriate to the appointment level.
Required profile
- PhD in a relevant discipline such as health psychology, implementation science, behavioural research, health professional education or social sciences.
- Extensive up‑to‑date theoretical and practical knowledge in health workforce research.
- Demonstrated potential to obtain external research funding and publish high‑impact work.
- Desirable: proven record of successful grant applications, conference presentations, international project experience, teaching in professional/clinical settings, and mentorship of students.
