LED Technical Operations Manager – Events

About the role

We are seeking an experienced LED Technical Operations Manager to lead the delivery of LED display projects for live sport, broadcast, corporate events and permanent installations across the UK. You will own technical operations, work on high‑profile events and ensure flawless performance of our LED systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, test, configure and commission indoor and outdoor LED display systems.
• Install, calibrate and maintain LED cabinets, processors, controllers and video distribution equipment.
• Diagnose and repair power supplies, receiving cards and related hardware.
• Optimise image quality through colour calibration and brightness control.
• Produce technical documentation, installation records and system drawings.
• Lead load‑in, live operation and de‑rig of LED systems for events.
• Support Project Managers with technical planning, site surveys and commissioning.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, service visits and provide client training.
• Supervise and mentor a team of technicians.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing LED technical operations for events or permanent installations.
• Strong leadership and client‑facing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced event environments.
