Legal Assistant – Conveyancing

About the role

Join a fast‑growing law firm in the South West as a Legal Assistant, supporting residential conveyancing work. You will be part of a supportive team that values professional development and offers clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and respond promptly to client queries.
• Assist with onboarding new clients and prepare client‑care documentation.
• Verify client identification and source of funds.
• Support title checks under supervision and draft contract packs.
• Obtain redemption statements and assist with pre‑contract enquiries on sale files.
• Prepare pre‑completion documents, including invoices and statements.
• Update the case management system accurately.
• Support team members to ensure efficient case progression.
• Build strong relationships with third‑party stakeholders.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.

Required profile

• Proactive and enthusiastic team player.
• Strong interest in property law and conveyancing.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous conveyancing experience is beneficial but not essential.
