Legal Assistant – Residential Conveyancing

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Legal Assistant to join our growing Residential Conveyancing team in Farnham. The role offers the chance to work closely with experienced solicitors, handling a varied caseload and developing specialist conveyancing expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to solicitors on residential conveyancing matters.
• Open new files, ensure compliance, and draft contract packs.
• Manage post‑exchange tasks such as preparing COTS, conducting final searches, lodging SDLT and AP1 forms.
• Deal with Land Registry requisitions and occasional dictation.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors, providing timely updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm, preferably within residential conveyancing.
• Familiarity with conveyancing processes and documentation.
• Strong client‑care orientation and ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent organisational, multitasking and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Tikit Partner for Windows (experience advantageous).
