Legal Contracts Manager – Technology

About the role

This permanent, hybrid position supports a UK‑based technology services and consulting firm. You will act as the central legal advisor for operational, sales, pre‑sales, procurement and senior management teams, ensuring contracts align with commercial goals and legal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear, commercially‑focused advice on contract terms, legal matters and business risk.
• Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements including NDAs, supplier and customer contracts, software licences, statements of work, order forms, SLAs, SaaS agreements, DPAs and reseller arrangements.
• Monitor contractual obligations, milestones, renewals and termination rights, escalating issues as needed.
• Support sales, procurement and operations in interpreting contractual commitments and ensuring delivery.
• Manage internal approval and governance processes in line with delegated authorities.
• Negotiate data protection, information security and confidentiality provisions with relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in resolving contractual disputes, claims and interpretation issues.
• Maintain accurate contract registers and oversee the use of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools.
• Update and maintain the company’s suite of legal templates.

Required profile

• Legal qualification (law degree, GDL or LPC) with solid understanding of English contract law.
• Minimum five years’ experience in contract management or commercial contracts, preferably within the technology sector.
• Proven ability to deliver pragmatic, commercially‑oriented legal advice.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience monitoring contractual performance.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions.
