Legal Counsel

About the role

This position offers the chance to shape and expand the legal function of a fast‑growing global business. Reporting to the Legal Director, Commercial, you will support key commercial units and help ensure compliance while driving growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely legal advice to Group Marketing & Innovation and the Global Accounts Team, negotiating high‑value, multi‑jurisdiction contracts.
• Review and negotiate third‑party agreements, NDAs, material transfers, regulatory applications and investigations.
• Support new product development, offering marketing claims advice and brand‑related IP guidance.
• Advise the Group IT function on AI regulation, develop GenAI & AI policies, and support IoT product initiatives.
• Assist Group Procurement by reviewing supplier contracts, updating procurement policies, and advising on data‑protection matters.
• Oversee the management of the Group’s IP portfolio, including acquisitions, renewals and protection strategies.

Required profile

• Qualified legal professional with experience in commercial contracts and corporate advisory.
• Strong understanding of marketing, technology, procurement and IP law.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams across the UK and internationally.
