Legal Counsel

About the role

Altenar is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join its in‑house legal team. The role offers the chance to own legal matters, work closely with business stakeholders, and help shape legal support for a fast‑growing international gaming and technology company.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as SaaS licensing, partnership and supplier contracts.
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to business units and act as the primary legal contact for stakeholders.
• Take ownership of legal support for designated business areas and manage external counsel when required.
• Identify and implement improvements to legal processes, workflows and documentation.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks and internal guidance.
• Collaborate with a multi‑jurisdictional legal team and monitor regulatory developments in gaming and technology.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years post‑qualification experience as a solicitor, advocate or equivalent.
• Strong grounding in commercial and contract law.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with interest in the gaming/technology sector.

Required skills

• Experience with legal technology tools (e.g., CLM systems).
• Document automation expertise.
