Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a commercially astute Legal Counsel to join the global legal team of a privately‑owned institutional asset manager. Based in our London office, you will provide legal advice across fund structuring, corporate initiatives and regulatory matters with a truly global focus.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate fund formation documents (PPMs, LPAs, side letters, subscription documents) for investors in Europe, the US, Asia and the Middle East.
• Prepare and negotiate investment management, distribution, rebate, introducer and third‑party marketing agreements.
• Support corporate and product initiatives, including new product launches, market entry and the establishment of new offices.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on licensing requirements across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices and time zones, reporting directly to the Group General Counsel.

Required profile

• Self‑starting lawyer with a strong work ethic and commercial awareness.
• Comfortable negotiating limited partnership agreements and handling corporate governance matters.
• Ability to move seamlessly between transactional, advisory and corporate workstreams.
• Forward‑thinking approach to legal technology and willingness to leverage AI‑assisted tools.
