Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel reports to the Head of Legal (UK and Ireland) and works within Budweiser Brewing Group, part of AB InBev. Based in a vibrant City of London office, the role supports both the established UK business and the expanding operations in Ireland, offering exposure to high‑profile commercial and sponsorship projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, including sales, sponsorship, logistics, procurement and warehousing agreements.
• Manage major sponsorship agreements for events such as the FIFA World Cup, the Olympics, Wimbledon and partnerships with Live Nation and Netflix.
• Collaborate with brand marketing teams to ensure compliant execution of campaigns and mega‑partnerships.
• Apply competition law knowledge to commercial decision‑making.
• Support digitisation of legal workflows and responsible AI adoption with European colleagues.
• Assist in managing commercial disputes and litigation.
• Contribute to product and packaging innovation initiatives.
• Support corporate governance by maintaining Companies House filings.
• Deliver BBG’s annual compliance training programme.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in the UK or another relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience supporting or working for a consumer‑focused organisation (desirable).
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
