About the role
The Construction Lawyer will provide expert legal support across the full lifecycle of GreenScale’s data centre and infrastructure projects, from land acquisition through to construction, delivery and operation. Reporting to the General Counsel, the role is hands‑on, commercially focused and essential for managing risk in a fast‑moving, capital‑intensive development programme.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of construction and engineering contracts, including build‑to‑suit, powered‑shell, turnkey, design‑and‑build and EPC arrangements.
- Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice throughout the project lifecycle, manage contractual risk, variations, extensions of time, liquidated damages and dispute resolution.
Required profile
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with significant post‑qualification experience in construction and engineering law.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across construction contracts and standard forms such as FIDIC, NEC, JCT.
Required skills
- Experience advising on major construction, engineering or infrastructure projects, ideally including data centres.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex legal issues clearly to non‑legal stakeholders.
