Legal File Handler – Noise Induced Hearing Loss Claims

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated File Handler to manage a caseload of predominantly litigated Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) claims. Working within a supportive legal team, you will progress claims in line with strategic objectives while ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Review documents, prepare reports and manage disclosure processes.
• Examine medical and personnel records, conduct investigations and obtain witness statements.
• Instruct counsel and experts, conduct legal research and draft correspondence.
• Attend conferences, trials and court appointments with counsel.
• Liaise with insurers and insured parties, taking instructions and ensuring adherence to court timetables.
• Maintain compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations and uphold Keoghs values.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling NIHL claims or similar litigation.
• Ability to manage a caseload of litigated claims independently.
• Strong understanding of legal procedures, disclosure and court timetables.
• Commitment to professional standards and company values.
