Legal Operations and Contracts Manager

About the role

The Legal Operations and Contracts Manager sits at the heart of XBOW’s legal team, bridging legal workflows with the wider business. This hands‑on role combines paralegal expertise with operational ownership to keep commercial agreements moving and legal processes scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the central point of contact for legal requests, gathering information, coordinating priorities with counsel and tracking matters to completion.
• Support commercial contracting by drafting, reviewing and negotiating NDAs and lower‑risk agreements using approved playbooks.
• Maintain contract records, track key obligations, renewal dates and notice periods, and produce reporting on legal demand and turnaround times.
• Own the administration of legal intake, matter tracking and contract‑management systems, improving workflows for review, approvals, signatures and document retention.
• Identify automation opportunities and responsibly use approved AI tools while handling confidential information.

Required profile

• 8+ years of combined paralegal and legal‑operations experience, including at least 2 years in‑house.
• Legal qualification, paralegal certification or equivalent experience; solicitor or attorney qualification not required.
• Proven ability to own and improve legal processes, manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Strong organisational skills, sound judgement on when to involve counsel, and experience with contract‑management and e‑signature tools.
