About the role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well‑established solicitors’ firm in Hastings. This office‑based, full‑time role provides essential support to a solicitor and helps ensure the smooth operation of a busy legal department.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and format legal documents and correspondence.
- Type reports and letters, including audio‑dictated material.
- Manage and maintain case files.
- Organise appointments and liaise with clients and external parties.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the legal team.
Required profile
- Recent secretarial experience, preferably within the legal sector.
- Strong typing speed and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional, proactive attitude with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Audio dictation proficiency.
- Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
