Legionella Risk Assessor

About the role

HSL Compliance Limited is hiring a Legionella Risk Assessor for a field-based water hygiene role reporting to its Dartford office. The post helps clients stay compliant with key water safety regulations, from surveys and site audits to reports and system schematics. It is based in or around Sunderland, Newcastle upon Tyne or Durham, with some UK-wide travel, and pays from £13.57 up to £14.51 depending on experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella risk assessments in line with HSE guidance (ACoP L8 and HSG274)
• Create clear, accurate reports and technical documentation
• Produce system schematics of hot and cold water systems
• Support sampling, monitoring and other water treatment tasks
• Audit client records and logbooks for compliance
• Maintain good working relationships with clients and represent HSL professionally

Required profile

• Technically skilled with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to manage their own workload
• Client-focused with excellent communication skills
• Flexible and willing to travel when needed
• Safety-first with a solid understanding of health and safety
• Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic industry
