Leisure Centre Supervisor – St Austell (Part‑time)

About the role

GLL is seeking a motivated Leisure Centre Supervisor to join the St Austell site. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring the centre opens smoothly and operates efficiently throughout the day.

Key responsibilities

• Unlock and prepare the centre each morning, including pools, gym areas and equipment.
• Assist customers with facility use, promote activities and encourage maximum utilisation.
• Maintain security, cleanliness, health‑and‑safety standards and equipment checks.
• Supervise on‑shift staff, allocate tasks and manage attendance, qualifications and performance records.
• Support energy‑conservation and resource‑maximisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Positive, customer‑focused attitude with strong communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Experience in supervising a team in a leisure or similar environment is desirable.

Required skills

• Basic health‑and‑safety and pool safety procedures.
• Competence in using facility management systems and equipment checks.
