Lending Operations Supervisor - Mortgages

About the role

The Lending Operations Supervisor will support the Lending & Securities Manager in leading a high‑performing team that manages the end‑to‑end lending and security lifecycle for a private banking institution. The role focuses on ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and excellent service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the manager in motivating and developing the operations team.
• Oversee daily workflow, resource allocation, and service standards.
• Support workforce planning to maintain required service levels.
• Provide coaching, technical guidance, and escalation of issues.
• Monitor performance metrics, service levels, and operational KPIs, using data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain and update SOPs, training documentation, and risk control self‑assessments.
• Ensure compliance with FCA/PRA Conduct Rules, Consumer Duty, internal policies, and data security standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to simplify processes and enhance customer outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of regulated and unregulated lending and security processes.
• Experience in a lending and securities financial‑services environment.
• Proven experience leading or supervising operational teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Capability to interpret lending documentation and security arrangements.
