Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner

About the role

Academics is seeking enthusiastic Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to provide flexible supply and permanent staffing for nurseries and primary settings around Winchester, Hampshire. You will support schools and early years settings by delivering engaging lessons and maintaining high standards of care and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver age‑appropriate activities and lessons in nursery or primary environments.
• Support teachers and staff with short‑term and long‑term staffing needs.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Follow safeguarding policies and complete an enhanced DBS check.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of children.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent experience in a nursery or primary school setting.
• Positive, adaptable attitude towards teaching and learning.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check on the update service.

Required skills

• Childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3).
