Level 2 Teaching Assistant

About the role
We are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly, inclusive primary school in the Greater Manchester area. The role starts in September 2026 and offers long‑term, full‑time support for teachers and pupils across the curriculum.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons in phonics, reading, writing and numeracy.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Prepare classroom resources, learning materials and support classroom transitions.
- Provide supervision during activities, promote positive behaviour and encourage independence.
- Support pupils with varying abilities and additional needs, contributing to a safe and inclusive environment.
Required profile
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Recent (within the last two years) experience in a UK primary school.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
