Level 2 Teaching Assistant

About the role

The school is a large three‑form entry academy in Hayes, looking for a committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the team from the Summer Term 2026. This is a full‑time, long‑term position within a well‑resourced and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils during whole‑class lessons, small‑group work and one‑to‑one sessions.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Provide additional academic or behavioural support to pupils as needed.
• Deliver small‑group interventions under teacher guidance.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and participation in learning.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Support classroom routines and behaviour management.

Required profile

• Recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools, NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, CACHE Level 2 Certificate).
• Experience working with primary‑aged children in a school setting.
