Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Salford to find an enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant. You will support teachers across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, helping pupils achieve their full potential in an inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Work with pupils one‑to‑one or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Support children with varying abilities, including those with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Promote positive behaviour through praise, consistency, and effective classroom support.
• Prepare learning resources and help maintain classroom organisation.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCOs, and other support staff.

Required profile

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 6 months recent UK school‑based experience.
• Experience supporting children in a primary school setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive, and nurturing approach.
