Level 2 Teaching Assistant – SEMH (Primary School)

About the role

We are seeking three enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support a primary SEMH school/PRU in Salford. The role involves working across the school to create a safe, inclusive environment for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs or permanent exclusions.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs throughout the school day.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and targeted interventions.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using agreed strategies.
• Help maintain a calm, structured learning environment.

Required profile

• Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Team Teach training and confidence in positive behaviour support techniques.
• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs, preferably in a SEMH school, PRU or care setting.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships.
