About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Tameside, Manchester. Working within the school’s dedicated SEND room, you will support children with a wide range of additional needs, helping them access learning and build confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Assist pupils in the SEND room to engage with the curriculum and achieve their potential.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, the wider SEND team, and support staff.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Required profile
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting.
- Resilient, patient, proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Genuine passion for helping children with additional needs.
