Level 2 Teaching Assistant – September Start

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to start in September 2026 at a primary school in Salford. Working within a KS1 classroom, you will support the teacher and provide one‑to‑one assistance to pupils with special educational needs (SEND), helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in delivering learning activities for SEND pupils.
• Provide individual or small‑group support to enhance social, emotional and academic development.
• Monitor and record progress, sharing feedback with teachers.
• Help maintain an inclusive, safe and supportive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable.
• Experience with SEND pupils is beneficial but not essential.
• Positive, flexible attitude with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with staff and students.
• Patience, empathy and commitment to meeting individual student needs.

What we offer

• Full‑time contract (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm) with a daily rate of £93‑£100, PAYE.
