Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner – Daily Supply & Permanent Roles

About the role

Academics is seeking enthusiastic Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to support nurseries and primary settings in and around Winchester. The role can be daily supply, short‑term contract or permanent, offering flexibility to match your availability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities and lessons in nursery or primary environments.
• Support teachers and staff with short‑term staffing needs.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and child protection.
• Contribute to a positive learning atmosphere and record observations.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent experience in a nursery or primary school setting.
• Positive, adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Knowledge of early years curriculum and safeguarding procedures.
