Level 3 Early Years Educator / Nursery Practitioner

About the role
Join a unique, outdoor‑focused nursery in Cheltenham where children aged 0‑5 explore, play and learn through nature‑based activities. This position is open to newly qualified Level 3 Early Years practitioners as well as experienced staff who love outdoor learning.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
- Support children’s curiosity, creativity and independence through outdoor exploration.
- Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families.
- Observe, assess and record each child’s development and achievements.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, encouraging appropriate risk‑taking.
- Assist with meals, personal care and daily routines.
- Collaborate with the team, parents and external professionals as needed.
Required profile
- Full Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (NVQ, CACHE or equivalent).
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework (training provided for newly qualified candidates).
- Passion for outdoor learning and child development.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
Required skills
- Knowledge of EYFS principles.
- Ability to plan and deliver nature‑based activities.
- Strong observation and record‑keeping skills.
