Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant

About the role

A welcoming primary school in Southwark is seeking a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join its Early Years team from September. You will work closely with the class teacher to support children in Nursery and Reception, delivering engaging, play‑based activities that align with the EYFS curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering EYFS learning experiences.
• Support children’s communication, social, emotional and physical development.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Monitor and record children’s progress and share observations with the teaching team.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions.

Required profile

• Level 3 EYFS qualification (essential).
• Previous experience supporting children in Nursery or Reception.
• Ability to travel to a school in the Southwark borough.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and team‑oriented.

Required skills

• Experience delivering EYFS‑aligned activities.
• Strong understanding of early years developmental milestones.
