Level 3 Paint Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship

About the role

This Level 3 apprenticeship with Thomas Howse offers hands‑on experience in the Powder Coating Department, where you will learn how industrial powder coatings and wet paints are produced, maintained and quality‑checked.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production lines and heavy‑duty equipment for industrial powder coatings.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and use scales to accurately weigh materials.
• Enter production data and support stock control activities.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment while wearing provided PPE.
• Assist the Powder Production Manager and Quality Control team with quality checks and formulation development.
• Learn wet‑paint manufacturing processes on site.

Required profile

• Practical, hands‑on attitude and interest in manufacturing environments.
• Reliable, hardworking and quality‑focused with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be 18+ and have completed A‑Levels or equivalent.
