Level 3 Qualified Nursery Assistant

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Assistant to join its welcoming nursery in Clapham, South West London. You will work in a supportive environment, helping to deliver play‑based learning and ensure the wellbeing of children in the setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing through daily routines and play‑based activities.
• Observe and record children’s progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging educational activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean and nurturing environment for all children.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to uphold safeguarding and child‑protection procedures.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent childcare qualification (essential).
• Previous experience in a nursery, early years setting or similar role.
• Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child‑protection policies.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional childcare‑related references covering the last two years.

Required skills

• Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Safeguarding training (up‑to‑date preferred).
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
