Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Bolton)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for a pupil with special educational needs in a welcoming primary school in Bolton (BL4). The role starts as soon as possible and offers a full‑time, long‑term placement within an inclusive school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 assistance tailored to the pupil’s individual needs.
• Assist the class teacher and SENCO in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies.
• Support the child’s emotional, social and behavioural development.
• Adapt classroom activities to ensure full inclusion.
• Track and report on the pupil’s progress.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience supporting children with SEN such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech & language needs.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach with confidence in managing challenging behaviour.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
