Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Early Years (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the EYFS team at a 2‑form entry primary school in Chorlton, Manchester. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, term‑time only, supporting a Reception class and helping young learners develop across the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Key responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering a rich, engaging EYFS curriculum.
• Assist with phonics instruction and early literacy activities.
• Provide tailored support for pupils with SEND or identified needs, adapting resources and strategies.
• Maintain a nurturing, safe environment that promotes children’s wellbeing and development.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Teaching & Learning or equivalent.
• Experience in an early years or primary setting (paid, voluntary or placement).
• Passion for working with young children and a proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Basic phonics delivery skills.
