Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Sept 2026)

About the role

Are you a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant looking for your next primary school opportunity? Aspire People are recruiting experienced Level 3 TAs to support primary schools from September 2026. The role goes beyond general classroom support, requiring confidence in delivering interventions, supporting individual pupils and collaborating closely with teachers to drive progress.

Key responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small‑group classroom support.
• Delivering targeted reading, phonics, English and maths interventions.
• Supporting pupils with SEND where required.
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom resources.
• Supporting differentiated learning activities and monitoring pupil progress.
• Promoting positive behaviour, classroom routines and helping pupils develop independence and confidence.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and experience delivering interventions.
• Good knowledge of phonics, reading, English and maths.
• Confidence supporting pupils with diverse abilities and needs.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with a patient, proactive and reliable approach.
• Experience with SEND or SEMH is advantageous.
