Level 4 Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are partnering with a supportive primary school in Manchester to find an experienced Level 4 Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will deliver targeted interventions, support pupils with additional needs, and lead learning sessions when required. This is a full‑time, temporary position with the possibility of a permanent role based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small‑group interventions to support pupil progress.
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD and other additional learning needs.
• Work alongside teachers to plan, prepare and deliver learning activities.
• Lead learning sessions and supervise whole classes during teacher release time where required.
• Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Promote positive behaviour using consistent behaviour management strategies.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Required profile

• Holds a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience within a primary school.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Confident leading learning and intervention sessions.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Passionate about helping every child reach their full potential.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required.
