LGV2 Hiab Hook Driver (Cat C) – Days – Temp to Perm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced LGV2 Hiab Hook Driver (Cat C) for a days‑only position based in Chichester. The role starts immediately and can progress from temporary to permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate LGV2 vehicles equipped with a Hiab and hook to transport loads across Southampton, Eastbourne, Guildford, Crawley and surrounding areas.
• Maintain up‑to‑date paperwork and electronic records, including accurate break‑time logs in line with WTD regulations.
• Follow both agency and client procedures and regulations at all times.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Valid Hiab certificate (hook training can be provided).
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and Digital Tachograph card.
• 6 months to 1 year of HGV2 driving experience.
• Good command of English (spoken, written, understood).
• Solid knowledge of the UK motorway network and Working Time Directive regulations.

What we offer

• Agency pay rate £18‑£26 per hour (minimum 8 hours) paid weekly.
• Potential permanent salary £32 k‑£34 k per annum, plus 1.5× overtime.
