Lift Engineer – Join Talent Pool in Scotland

About the role
Schindler is inviting experienced lift engineers to join its Engineering Talent Pool in Scotland. As a member of the pool you will be contacted when suitable positions become available, giving you early access to new opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repairs and component replacement following approved procedures.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on lifts, performing checks on speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies.
- Conduct routine inspections and adjustments, complete service documentation and reinstate lifts to operational status.
- Perform advanced fault‑finding using technical manuals, test equipment and diagnostic techniques.
- Complete site surveys and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Required profile
- Previous experience in lift servicing, maintenance or repairs (preferred).
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, with experience on multi‑brand equipment.
- Excellent fault‑finding, diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high efficiency.
- Confident independent worker with a proactive approach.
- Good manual dexterity for safe use of hand and power tools.
