Lift Engineer – Maintenance & Service (Hertfordshire)

About the role

Stannah is seeking a qualified Lift Engineer to deliver maintenance, repairs and emergency call‑outs for lifts and stairlifts across the Stevenage area. You will work regular office hours Monday‑Thursday 08:00‑16:45 and Friday 08:00‑15:45, providing a reliable on‑site presence for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs and call‑out visits on a variety of lifts and stairlifts.
• Ensure all work meets Stannah’s safety and quality standards.
• Carry out risk assessments and complete site log cards for each job.
• Participate in an on‑call rota, receiving standby allowance and call‑out payments.
• Build strong relationships with client staff and key stakeholders as the face of Stannah on site.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience working as a Lift Engineer.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Lift maintenance and repair.
• Stairlift servicing.
• Risk assessment and documentation.
