Lift Engineer – South London

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Lift Engineer to join a leading engineering and construction firm in South London on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, compliance, and performance of a wide range of lifting equipment across multiple client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out statutory LOLER inspections on various lifts and lifting equipment to the highest standard.
• Visit client sites, examine equipment, and produce detailed inspection reports.
• Survey existing plant, assess service provider performance, and evaluate compliance with Health & Safety and Disability Discrimination legislation.
• Prepare refurbishment or replacement proposals, including modular design options.
• Benchmark installations against internal quality criteria and generate recommendation reports.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and complete test certificates and paperwork promptly.
• Travel independently to customer premises and uphold excellent customer service at all times.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Lift Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in lift inspection, maintenance, and autonomous repair.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Solid understanding of current Health & Safety regulations applicable to lift engineering.
