Lift Engineer Talent Pool – Aberdeen

About the role

We are building a talent pool of Lift Engineers in Aberdeen to quickly fill future lift servicing and maintenance positions across Scotland. As a member of the pool you will be contacted when a suitable vacancy arises, giving you early access to new opportunities with Schindler.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and minor repairs on lift equipment following approved procedures.
• Diagnose and rectify faults, conduct detailed inspections of speed, motor operation, load, noise, temperature and power supplies.
• Complete service documentation and reinstate lifts to operational status.
• Carry out advanced fault‑finding using technical manuals and diagnostic test equipment.
• Conduct site surveys and support installation teams as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in lift servicing, maintenance or repairs (preferred).
• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high efficiency.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, independent work approach.

Required skills

• Electrical knowledge applied to lift systems.
• Mechanical knowledge of lift components.
• Fault diagnosis and problem‑solving on multi‑brand equipment.
• Use of company‑issued tooling and protective equipment (PPE, PDA, Expert+).
• Lift servicing and routine inspection procedures.
