Lift Engineer – Talent Pool (Greater Manchester)

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repairs and component replacement.
• Diagnose and rectify faults on lift equipment, ensuring correct functioning after breakdowns.
• Perform lift function checks (speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, power supplies) using approved tooling.
• Conduct routine inspections, adjustments and complete service documentation.
• Execute advanced fault‑finding and diagnostic procedures using technical manuals and test equipment.
• Carry out site surveys and support reinstatement of lifts.

Required profile

• Previous experience in lift servicing, maintenance or repairs (preferred).
• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, with experience on multi‑brand equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high efficiency.
• Confident working independently with a proactive approach.

• Use of PDA/Expert+ tools and PPE.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
