Lift Planner – CAD Specialist for Heavy Machinery

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Lift Planner with strong CAD experience to join a leading machinery relocation company. The position is office‑based in Oldham, working Monday to Friday, and offers a clear pathway into the heavy lifting industry.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed lift plans and plant layouts using AutoCAD 2D.
• Perform load calculations and develop method statements, risk assessments and RAMS for each project.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage multiple lift projects across the UK.
• Prepare and distribute technical documentation to clients such as Rolls‑Royce and BAE Systems.

Required profile

• Background in CAD (AutoCAD) within construction, heavy machinery, automotive or site‑based environments.
• Interest in developing expertise in the machinery lifting sector.
• Ability to commute to Oldham, North Manchester.
