Lift Tester – Trainee Engineer (Glasgow)

About the role

Orona Limited is seeking a motivated individual to join its Glasgow team as a Lift Tester trainee. You will receive NVQ4 training and technical instruction to become an independent, qualified lift tester while supporting daily lift installations and modernisations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out pre‑tests on new installations and modernisations, compiling snag lists for engineers and trades.
• Adjust and test lifts on‑site to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and lift regulations.
• Complete test sheets and produce required documentation for the company and clients.
• Provide support to other departments as needed.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering.
• Previous experience working with lifts.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Clean UK driving licence and flexibility for varied hours.

Required skills

• Understanding of lift control systems.
• Electrical knowledge.
