Linux Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a leading consultancy to hire an experienced Linux/Automation Engineer. The role focuses on building a next‑generation automation platform that drives safe, reliable, and efficient change across large‑scale Linux, VMware and F5 environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automation solutions for patching, upgrades and infrastructure changes.
• Strengthen pre‑ and post‑change validation and improve observability.
• Collaborate with a high‑skill engineering team to continuously enhance automation capabilities.
• Support the delivery of business‑critical infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on‑prem environments.

Required profile

• Strong fundamentals in Linux/UNIX system administration.
• Proven experience building infrastructure automation with Python and/or Ansible.
• Solid understanding of systems administration, networking and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with VMware, F5 or similar virtualization and load‑balancing technologies is a plus.
