Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

As a Linux Systems Administrator you will support the U.S. Federal Government by designing, deploying, and maintaining Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) in an enterprise environment. You will continuously improve the infrastructure using modern technologies and help customers understand network performance through monitoring and metrics analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and sustain CDS and related Linux infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, analyze metrics, and provide actionable insights.
• Manage virtual machines on VMware ESXi and maintain Linux firewalls, networking, and DNS configurations.
• Mentor team members, share expertise, and drive modernization initiatives.
• Translate technical data into clear information for stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux or CentOS.
• Experience managing VMs on VMware ESXi.
• Knowledge of Linux firewalls, networking configuration, and DNS.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years systems‑administration experience, or 12+ years experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II certification within 60 days of start date.
