Linux Systems Analyst (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Linux Systems Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation on a six‑month contract. Working in a hybrid model, you will report to the Head of IT Service Delivery and provide expert technical support for critical business applications and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incidents, service requests, problems and operational tasks within SLA targets.
• Provide advanced 2nd‑line support across infrastructure, applications and integrations.
• Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and drive permanent problem resolution.
• Support change, release, continuity and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Maintain EDI, AS2 and SFTP integration solutions.
• Collaborate closely with clients and business stakeholders.
• Deliver continual service‑improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
• Provide out‑of‑hours support on weekdays and weekends as required.

Required profile

• Strong experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Proven ability to work in SLA‑driven environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with incident, problem, change and request management.
• Desirable: ITIL Foundation, RHCSA or equivalent Red Hat/Linux certification.
