Litigation Lawyer – Civil Litigation (Contract Disputes)

About the role

Yolk Recruitment is partnering with a nationally recognised law firm to hire a Litigation Lawyer for its Civil Litigation Division in Bristol. The role focuses on managing contract‑based disputes across a range of commercial and consumer matters, offering a varied and intellectually stimulating caseload.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of fast‑track, intermediate and multi‑track contract dispute matters.
• Advise individual and commercial clients on civil litigation claims, including sale of goods, services, building contracts, professional negligence and misrepresentation.
• Handle claimant and defendant matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
• Liaise with clients via telephone, video call and face‑to‑face, providing clear, pragmatic legal advice.
• Use a case management system to progress files, meet deadlines, record activity and handle billing and invoicing.

Required profile

• Experience managing your own caseload of contract‑based civil litigation.
• Background as a Solicitor, FCILEx, Senior Paralegal or equivalent with relevant litigation experience.
• Proven ability to advise on fast‑track and multi‑track disputes for both individual and commercial clients.
• Strong organisational skills, able to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management systems.
• Good command of Microsoft Office.
