Litigation Paralegal – Dispute Resolution Support

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑regarded, growing law firm in Chester. The Dispute Resolution team needs a proactive Litigation Paralegal to support senior fee earners throughout the full lifecycle of complex cases, from initial enquiry to hearing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior fee earners with supervised fee‑earning tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare court documents and bundles under senior guidance.
• Handle new client enquiries following team processes.
• Attend meetings, mediations and court hearings, take detailed notes and upload them to the case‑management system.
• Act as a point of contact when fee earners are unavailable, managing calls and escalating urgent matters.
• Provide routine client updates and draft follow‑up correspondence.
• Make information requests and enquiries to progress matters.
• Manage outgoing correspondence to a high standard.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in dispute resolution, preferably with exposure to commercial, contract, IP, partnership, shareholder or property litigation.
• Genuine interest in a litigation career, not just a stepping stone.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Confidence using case‑management systems.
• Commitment to first‑class client care and high professional standards.
