Litigation Solicitor – Civil & Commercial Disputes

About the role

Join a forward‑thinking disputes practice in Abingdon, delivering high‑quality civil and commercial litigation for local businesses and professionals. You will manage a varied caseload, benefit from modern case‑management tools, and work within a supportive, people‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop your own caseload, including commercial contracts, property disputes, contentious probate and professional negligence matters.
• Draft pleadings, statements and ensure CPR‑compliant case management.
• Conduct disclosure, run ADR/mediation sessions and negotiate settlements.
• Advocate in court and tribunals where appropriate.

Required profile

• At least 1 year post‑qualification experience (PQE); all levels considered.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure and litigation strategy.
• Clear communicator who builds trust with clients and colleagues.
• Organised, commercially aware and solution‑focused.

Required skills

• Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) compliance
• Drafting pleadings and case management
• ADR and mediation techniques
