Litigation Solicitor – Competitive Package – Hybrid – Cheltenham

About the role

A well‑established Cheltenham law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join its Dispute Resolution team. The role involves managing a diverse litigation portfolio and providing strategic advice to commercial and private clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a busy, varied litigation caseload independently.
• Manage the full litigation lifecycle, including pre‑action work, pleadings, disclosure, ADR and trial preparation.
• Provide strategic advice to companies, trusts, charities and private individuals.
• Oversee cases from first instruction through to final resolution, shaping strategy at each stage.
• Liaise with and instruct counsel where appropriate.
• Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations and settlement discussions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Broad experience across contractual/commercial disputes, property litigation, professional negligence, contentious probate and debt recovery.
• Commercially astute with the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong grounding in all phases of litigation.
• Excellent client‑facing and advocacy skills.
