Litigation Solicitor – Probate & Property

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Litigation Solicitor with at least two years post‑qualification experience to join our growing litigation team in Brighton. You will work on a diverse portfolio that includes contentious probate, TOLATA matters and new opportunities in property, contract or negligence litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to clients across a range of litigation matters.
• Manage pre‑action protocols, drafting Letters of Claim, responses and related correspondence.
• Handle alternative dispute resolution, including settlement proposals, agreements and mediations.
• Issue and conduct court proceedings, instruct counsel and experts as required.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high‑quality service throughout each case.
• Participate in business development activities and support junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive in England and Wales.
• Minimum two years PQE with solid litigation experience.
• Confidence, high personal standards and a drive to develop a varied caseload.
