Live-in Carer & Driver (Female) – Full‑time

About the role

Maplewood Independent Living is seeking a compassionate female live‑in carer who can also provide driver support for clients in Essex and Suffolk. This full‑time position involves residing with the client, helping them maintain independence, and safely transporting them to appointments and activities.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and support clients to live independently in their own homes.
• Accompany clients to social outings, medical appointments and other activities.
• Prepare meals, assist with household tasks and provide personal care with dignity.
• Support medication administration according to care plans.
• Maintain accurate care records using a mobile app.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing for both client and yourself.
• Communicate regularly with the branch manager.

Required profile

• Previous experience in live‑in or hourly care is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle with business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
• Reliable, professional and caring attitude.

Required skills

• Strong spoken and written English communication.
• Good time‑keeping and reliability.
• Ability to use a smartphone and learn a care‑recording app (training provided).
